Code 24 w/ Autometer setup

Car is an 87 iroc lb9 700r4 with cable driven speedometer. I'm getting code 24 because I have no speedometer (I am converting to autometer), wondering if its possible to run an autometer speedometer without triggering code 24 & if so what else do I need besides the speedometer itself?

anything is possible, you will need an electronic speed signal from the transmission you may need to go in to a dakota sgi box to output 2k pulse signal to the computer and a pulse to the electric speedometer.

Re: Code 24 w/ Autometer setup

Would I be better off ditching the cable setup and switch to electric signal? Is this

the dakota box you were talking about?
