weird... tps question

Engine: 383 Vortec TPI, PUTS SMILES ON FACE
Transmission: PATC LVL 3 Raptor Transmission
Axle/Gears: 3.27 POSI 9 BOLT
weird... tps question
So I think its a little weird....
I have a 86 lb9 and I've been running .54 for my tps for a while and the car runs good... I decided to play with my tps a little... I found out my car REALLY likes .48 my power and throttle response is WAAYY better would anyone know why this is?.. Everyone says .54 is best. Or is .54 just a good starting point. What is the tps doing.
