350 TPI camshaft recommendations

Whats up guys. I recently purchased a bone stock 91 Z28 with the 350 TPI. The car has been really neglected and needs a pile of parts. It needs an intake gasket set and valve seals. I figured while I have the engine torn down that much I would do a cam swap too. As I said the car is totally stock, so I wont want anything too crazy. I'm just looking for a little bit of a healthier sound and maybe a little performance out of it. Any suggestions that you guys have would be great. Thanks!

What are you trying to do with your car? There are a lot of cams to pick from but, matching your cam up to the rest of your drivetrain is very important. Are you going to leave the rest of the motor stock and just do bolt on's? Are you going to change the heads, cam, intake? Do you have to deal with emissions where you live?

Check out a few companies that make a little bigger/ performance cams for our cars that are designed to run with the ECM and tpi fuel system, unless you are going to have it professionally tuned or tune it yourself. Comp cams has a few I'm pretty sure. Not sure about brands like launati, edelbrock, or chevy.

Zz4 cam could be had for cheap and work if you use beehive springs or alex's parts shaved retainer spring kit to handle the lift

What about the Crane 2032 cam? 214/220 @ .05, .452/.465 lift, 112 lobe separation, and 50 state legal.

Re: 350 TPI camshaft recommendations

Ive been real happy with my zz4 cam. My MAF can make it work, but im sure youll need some tuning to get it dialed in. ...its pretty mild, but you know its got something other than stock for sure....that being said, I think headers and a catback are pretty much a necessity. ...and back when I still had the automatic, I felt a bigger seat of the pants thrill from a 2400 stall torque converter than I did from the cam. Didnt make it sound better though!
