Tpi looked stock but had ridiculous amount of power. How is this possible

I'm limited to 12 images so I'm posting 10 sets of posi black marks in each reply in memory of the 20 spectators that were killed in the stands when the LT5 engine threw the rods and pistons out the block killing them,

These are not 6.2’s. lol. The LT5 was made for sustained high rpm. The 24 hour High Speed Endurance record achieved by the LT5 has never been broken by any other production vehicle since. It was a great engine, but expensive for GM.

Reminds me of Saab whenever I read about endurance records. They didn't break any speed records (other than over distance) but I think they probably got em on endurance.

62,000 miles in 20 straight days and nights at an average of 132mph in 1986 with three off the line cars.
Those 9Kt's were excellent.
