Re: TPI 730 ECM pinning question

Yes, pin C6 is the optical/digital 2K PPM VSS input. Also need to change a flag in the calibration to tell the ECM to use that pin.

The '90-'92 TPI cars used the 4K PPM magnetic input.

Yes, just need to also change the calibration flag to use that input.

Could not locate anything to indicate it is the "optical/digital 2K PPM VSS input". All my reference material just say "C6 not used".
Don't know what reference material you are looking at, but as I posted the '90 - '92 TPI cars don't use the optical/digital input. So it wouldn't be documented.

However, in your first post you state, "My reference material says to pin that DRAC output into the 730 ecm at pin BC-6 (32 pin black connector)." So there you go, pin C6 is the optical/digital VSS input to the ECM..

Already have the flag changed and memcal flashed.

Thanks
This post of yours doesn't make any sense to me. You first asked if pin C6 was the proper input for a 2K PPM optical VSS sensor. As I posted, it is the correct pin. Now for some reason you won't believe me unless I post schematics of the '7730 ECM, why?
