Putting together a 350 TPI from a L31 short block- Heads+Cam suggestions

I just bought an L31-R 350 crate long block from summit. I'm trying to determine what the best heads/cam combo for this engine might ne, with the current goal of keeping the TPI set up. I want to ditch the vortec heads that came with it for two reasons. 1. They have a very low ceiling when it comes to lift, and 2. I'd have to buy a $400 intake that flows mediocre even relative to normal TPI standards.

Right now I have AS&M runners, a ported plenum, and a ported Edelbrock base. I'm trying to decide between AFR 180/195s and TFS Super 23 195s. Seems like the XFI 268 from comp works well with the TPI 350s from what I'm reading. I realize the limits of the intake, so the motor won't really be spun above 5500rpm. I'm looking for good power within that range.

Any suggestions?

Great question, looks like a very good block to build from. I'm confused on what all the issues are if you wanted to retain your TPI setup when it comes to bolt patterns. I've read special drilling must take place and centerbolts are an issue if you want to retain stock valve covers. Are there other issues? Does this leave you with many head choices if you wanted to just take your stock TPI and intake and swap it over to a new set of heads? Do your above choices work for this scenario? Have you looked at Comp Cams? They have some good literature on their website to help you make an informed decision on cam choice.
