305 tpi going to marry a procharger. Questions

Just the standard 2 core P1SC kit. I have newish Bosch III 19 lb injectors from Southbay.

I'm planning on using the supplied fmu and wondered if that would work and if I needed to look at anything else?

I have a powermax 2032 cam and standard 5 speed memcal.

Anything to look out for? Thanks for any helps team.

Make sure the valvesprings are stiffer than stock and make sure you have a high pressure walbro pump in the tank. Like to see a 340 lph but a 255 could do ok

Get an ignition box with timing retard or very least retard base timing atleast 1 deg per lb boost, actually maybe even more like 1.5 to be safe

Ideally want to burn chips to handle the timing table but ignition box will help with both spark energy and timing retard in boost. Got to be a fairly advanced box

Try a one step colder spark plug and .028 gap

Thanks for this.

Valve springs- check!
Fuel pump- check!

Re: timing? 6 degrees btdc as it stands which is stock.

Running 8 lbs of boost- I should retard it to -2 degrees?

Sounds very cautious?

If you dont tune the chip, i would try moving timing down to 0 deg base. Its not ideal for normal driving off boost but it will be safer in boost. I will have to double check my logs to see what my 305 runs for timing at 8-9 lbs boost. I run 35 at wot naturally aspirated by 4000 rpm. I think at 8 psi its around 27 deg with water meth injection on pump gas
