fuel rails

How do I get the fuel rails off the manifold? I undid the 4 bolts on top and the one in front. would assume that its the injectors holding them on, if so, how do i disconnect the injectors?

I am assuming that the TPI fuel rails are like the LT1 fuel rails, meaning they are attached the same way. I just disassembled mine yesterday. If you look at where the injectors are located, the will be a tang (metal) at the top of each inctor. This tang is like an E-clip, it secures the injector to the fuel rail. If you carefully take a small flat tip screwdriver and apply pressure perpendicular to the fuel rails the clip will slide, unlocking the injector. The clip will not fall from the fuel rail because it has a tang on the inside. Once you get all the injectors free, you can apply a pulling pressure to the fuel rail, alternating your pulling locating, like you are trying to pry open a can. The rail should work away from the injectors with minimal effort. Please be careful when pulling the rails, don't want to damage an injector. I hope this helps

I just took the injectors off with the rail.... I simply wiggled it out carefully... the fuel rail has some give in it, so you can do one at a time.

The only thing holding the fuel rails to the base is those 4 bolts. The injectors are stuck in there pretty good. I just recently replaced my injectors myself. Now you just need to pull hard to get them to pop out.

Well, I undid the clips but still nothing will budge. I pilled on the rails with about 60lbs if force and nothng with come out. Everything came apart smoothly until this. are the injectors threaded in there or something?

Nope, they are just stuck good. You're going to need new o-rings for sure.
