Would you get any benefits from doing this?

Shouldn't the carb be mounted in the center for even fuel spread?

 

I cant think of any benefit at all, i think this is a case of oldguy-itis, note how the injectors are in place but not used, this was one very very strange car... I imagine spraying fuel down the runners must kill any power it could make....

 

why do i feel like the term red neck will be brought up?

 

something tells me this car was towed to the show.....if it works it is out of 100% pure luck.

What the heck is with the racing stripe of rust on both valve covers. that has to be intentional

This setup would run like complete crap IMO. You would lose so much fuel in the process I couldn't see how it would even work!
