T-RAM questions
Is it possible to find T-RAM intake anywhere these days? Are there any aftermarket places that make it, or was it just GM? Does GM still sell it? But then it would probably cost me an arm to get it. Can you put T-RAM intake on a 305 LB9? I don't really know alot about T-RAM, if anyone can enlighten me, I'm all for it...
it was make buy SLP and a fire destroyed the machinerary that made it......they probably still have teh plans around, what they need to do is reproduce it seeing the Thirdgens TPI is getting popular.
If it helps, the T ram was made by SLP...a bad warehouse fire destroyed their molds some years back and they stopped producing them.
So a used T ram,if you find one, will probably bring 1,000-2000 bucks for it.
The reason I say this is because someone I purchased parts from last year bought a used T ram off the net somewhere and told me they were going for 1500 bucks used.
So I would imagine they are in low supply now on the used parts market and may generate some high dollars for them.
Last I heard, the T ram molds were not going to be reproduce by SLP..but this isnt 100% fact. But then again, most large companies focus on the newer cars that come out...the T ram design is over 11 years old now.So i dont know if they would bother with the tooling costs to make them again.
The next best thing or better is the SuperRam intake, which is said to be close in design or performance. Its still available and might be the only best thing on the market today.
If any of my info is wrong, someone correct me on that.
