TPI issue..fuel pump?
Ran into some trouble with the Camaro...it quit on the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Craggy Gardens. We'd been climbing for several miles, running about 40, when suddenly the RPMs started dropping. Pushed in the clutch, the engine was barely running, and mashing the gas would only bring the engine up to around 1000 or so. Finally, it died. It would weakly try to run the first couple of tries, then nothing. Noticed I couldn't hear the fuel pump starting when the key was turned on. Managed to get the car turned around to head back down the mountain, after about 5 minutes, the car restarted, and didn't miss a beat the rest of the afternoon. I dropped my wife off at a friends house in Asheville, and drove the two hours back without issue. The only thing different I noticed on the way back was the high idle had returned, around 1400 RPM. I'm figuring either bad fuel pump or relay, but think since the pump is very noisy anyway, go ahead and replace it.
Am I missing anything, or does this sound about right?

I would try and recreate the problem. This time bring a fuel pressure gauge. Kinda sounds like you might have an ignition issue. Bring a spark tester with you as well.

Actually friend also suggested this. The module was a mess. Green corrosion completely covered the two pins from the reluctor, and it appeared that the module had been installed without heat sink goo. From the looks of things, at some point, there was quite a bit of moisture under the cap. The reluctor has a good bit of rust on it.

It's not missed a beat since replacing the ICM, but all that rust on the pickup has me leery...I'm considering replacing the distributor.
