SLP Proms, any good? Questions...

Are the SLP Proms that good? They are really tempting me since it's only 70$. My question is, I have an '87 Z28 305 TPI 700R4, and on their site the last ones they have are "1987-88 Camaro/Firebird 5.0L auto, CA only" Would this work for my car anyway? What is the difference between the CA and 49 State one? I'd think there wouldn't be a huge difference since CA has stricter emissions, it might not be tweaked quite as much, but other than that they should be the same right? And I got my F-Body used, how do I know it didn't come from CA anyway??? Any opinions or suggestions would be great. And Don't say 'burn your own PROMS' please. I don't have the money to do that...

You Do Not want a SLP chip with Calif. emission Standards. I was
Told by a SLP tech rep to stay with the stock chip the Ca only chip is restrictive, their opinion.
