89 IROC Runs good when cold then enriches and dies
Hello guys
my friend's 89 iroc runs good when hot but when it warms it runs way way rich and then dies.
We tried testing many sensors and we discovered that unplugging the MAF nothing changes so I've thought maf is gone.
It reads 2 volts at 2500 rpm and 1.10v in idle
What do you think?

Is the vacuum line connected to the cannonball reservoir?

vacumms are ok
The car backfires bad (in the intake too) when I stomp on the gas.
CTS reads good
MAF reads good
Distributor is new
Injectors read good ohms
Maybe ECM or o2 sensor? Maybe knock sensor?

Your maf reading seems rather high. At idle .73v is 8.36gps.
Have you pulled you for vacuum line to look for signs of fuel ?

The car is not mine and all the vacuums were ok. We swapped a carb in it and now goes like hell. I guess the ecm was bad. Thank you guys

had a similar issue to this....it was all fuel related. my issue was the stock fuel pump was bad. then when i replaced it and it ran great. check your fuel pressure and do a pressure drop down test. i think if you google "tpi fuel drop down" you can find it in images.

We tried an other fuel pump but got the same issue
I've bought his TPI setup for 200 bux for a spare
Something was wrong for sure but all the sensors and injectors were OK

Problem solved: it was the ECM but the owner converted the car to carb
