would i need to change the PCM?
i am looking at a 1990 IROC 305 TPI with VERY high mileage
the body is in great shape and the price is only $1500
i would like to swap out the 305 long block for a 350 long block
will this make the PCM go nuts? if so, is it a straight change to a 350 TPI PCM?
i will also need 350 injectors, right?

For the third gen they're called ECMs. You won't need to change the ECM, but you will need to change the memcal and injectors. An even better idea would be to burn your own chip, along with using the appropriately-sized injectors. The 5.7L also uses a different knock sensor and EST module, so keep that in mind as well. Everything else should swap over just fine.
