Unkown Injector

Hello togehter,

have a unkown Injector 01D041B, Range 2-4.5 bar (16,7 Ohm).
Anyone can tell me if this fits for a `91 5.0L TPI "F"??
Car smells unburned gas and has a BLM of 150-160

Thanks

Danny

Re: Unkown Injector

That is a Lucas part number. From the Stan Weiss list it appears to be a 19 #/hr injector at 43.5 psi fuel pressure.

The BLM of 150-160 is adding a lot of fuel. If there is truly a lot of unburned fuel look into the O2 sensor feedback. That is what the ECM uses to adjust the fueling.

RBob.

Re: Unkown Injector

Oxygen Sensor works, no Vacuum leak......but only 30 PSI Fuel pressure!
Map also works.....Got it out with TunerPro RT.

Re: Unkown Injector

Also have Code 43, maybe the reason for the high BLM is from there?????
I know it´s a cheap knock sensor (will change this week).
ECM ACDELCO Remanufactured.......Prom ARZU...(will change to AXXF).

Re: Unkown Injector

If you're only running 30 PSI, you need to address that first. It's going to run lean, and attempt to hold the injector open longer to make up for the reduced fuel being fed into the engine. That's at least one of the reasons BLM is so high.

I can't make a blanket statement that's ALL of the issues, but until the fuel pressure issue is resolved, it's going to be all but impossible to find any other lurking problems.

Re: Unkown Injector

I am sorry, psi is at 35-40 PSI and the injectors have all 17,6 Ohm ( engine warm).
Haynes tells 11-14 Ohms. So is this way to much and can be my problem?

That's not surprising, or unusual. I can't remember ever encountering a good, or accurate Haynes manual. One of the first purchases I make is the factory service manual..in a pinch, I've used Alldata, which looks to be an excerpt of the factory manual.

Try this for resistance specs.

11.8-12.6 I thought they were around 15.5 -17 ohms.
Maybe I'm incorrect

Re: Unkown Injector

Ok....lets say 17,6 Ohm is to much, what happens? They close slower, faster or make ECM mistakes?????? When i got the car fuse “Inj.1“ was burned.
