I think that should get you into the low 13's or high 12's. I'm not for sure but with all that stuff you should be able to get into that time slots.

Those mods sound good.....you just forgot onething, a good aftermarket chip or a custom burned one.

Depending on the end HP, you may want to save your money on the 52mm TB. Might be too much with the ported plenum, runners and intake. Otherwise, sounds like a wicked package!

Hey LOSE THE 52 MM throttly body (save + $300).... just get a good deal on an Airfoil....
Here is really what you should do:
3.42 Posi (find good deal on ebay.... came stock on many fourthgens, so did the posi!)
Aluminum driveshaft cool id try to find a good deal at a junk yard
Scrap the ported intake manifold and get a new Scoony Vortech TPI base $400 (already ported, excellent)
Vortech heads ($450, flow more than l98 heads)
Whatever runners you want???? Dont know, dont have any afmrkt ones.
Port match gaskets and plenum and runners and intake manifold
from what ive seen I HAVE NOT SEEN A SLOW TPI with the TPIS ZZ9 cam... ZZ4 sounds good too i have the ZZ3 cam but am still working on swapping the engine in
24lb injectors - stock on LT1's fit right in can get cheap work perfect
roller tipped rockers????? (ok mod, i dont really like them - only last 20,000 miles)
Hooker cat back (i have they are SWEET! flow more than flowmaster to)

Here is what i just read about the vortec heads:
Vortec heads outflow many gm heads, including the Aluminum L98/ZZ4's, and the entry level bowties! SuperChevy/Camaro Performers got 390hp with them on a ZZ4 shortblock, ZZ4 cam, single plane intake and a demon 750 carb. They are also great for the Ramjet intake, Edelbrock TBI, or Scoggen ****ey's TPI intakes.

You'll probably get some mixed opinions on this but here's what I know, When my car was stock I had an ADS Superchip and when I put that in I could really feel a difference. With the mods that I've done I put in the custom Performance reasources chip and WOW the difference was amazing, even over the ADS chip. The major thing that is going to help is your bigger injectors, the stock chip won't know that you put bigger injectors in. The chip will also help with timeing and you'll notice a big difference in reaction time, from when you stomp on the gas and when your car begins to go.

It takes about 420HP at the flywheel to pull a 12.9..

HAHAHAHA, bone stock LS1's that make 320 at the flywheel pull 12.9's. OK maybe 420 hp in a 5000lb car

No,

Actually most of them pull around 13.8 - 13.9 assuming the car
weighs approx 3600lbs with the driver.

Perhaps 320hp at the rear wheels will pull about a 13.0, but that depends on drivetrain loss, traction, shifting, etc.

A 5000lbs car, as you stated with approx 450 rear wheel horsepower could probably pull off a 12.9, but again depending on everything else.

Here is a link to your 12 second LS1, Unfortunately its a 3000lbs
Z28 with a modified 530HP LS1:

Yes, Anyone pulling a 13.8 -13.9 in an ls1 doesnt know who to drive. I wish I could find the GMHTP where at BONE STOCK 2000 SS pulled a 12.9 @11x, on a crappy day and with a dirty filter. And this was on the stock Eagle f1's.

And pulling a 12.3 with a 530 hp LS1??? I know people with barely modified ls1's that are pulling 11.8's. This is the same car that dynoed at 306 rwhp, no i am not ****ting you, all u need is the right setup.

I'd rethink the heads unless you are getting them for cheap.

Sounds good but I would go w/ 3.73 gears, I just put in 3.42s and I wish I would have went w/ 3.73s. Also an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator is a must in my opinion.
