1986 Z28 TPI value?
I am new to the camaro platform, but not to cars. I am in the process of buying my brother in law's 1986 Z28 after he gets the title in his name, currently in his former stepfathers but his mother has all the necessary paperwork. The rebuild work, stated below, was done by his stepfather and one his stepfather's friends. Everything I know about it was before it sat
The good: original TPI 305 and manual transmission, original wheels, 305 was rebuilt with about 1500 miles on the rebuild. When it did run, it ran well after replacing the starter solenoid, plugs, and wires. It was painted black and gold (not sure of original color, but only needs a clear coat as one was never applied over repaint), interior is immaculate, no major rust.
The bad: has been sitting for 2-3 years since last started. Aside from general filter and fluid changes it will need - lower ball joints, sway bar links and bushings, all four tires replaced, shocks and struts, radiator, coolant reservoir, brakes all the way around, a new battery, a muffler, a new clutch, and a drivers side door (old one was filled with bondo and door sags from the weight when open). The a/c is hooked up but does not work reliably (started following wiring and compressor kicked on for a minute but turned off and unable to recreate), there is a short in the electrical system that drains the battery overnight (possibly related to ac wiring problem but also possibly not), and the t-tops leak
I can do all the work myself except for welding the muffler and I work at a parts store and the quote with my discount for the parts (this does not include the filters, fluid, door, or coolant reservoir) was right at $950. My question is, how much would you be willing to pay for this car in its current condition? I can provide pictures later if necessary to give a proper estimate but do not have any right now.

Holy old thread batman... how did the OP ever not put up a pic.
Let/'s assume when somone sees this it is an 87 305 TPI in need of paintwork and a suspension ref-fresh. Non-Iroc.... I couldn't see a car like this being worth over $3500 TBH... not to me. To many other reasonable mileage cars in better shape available that are ready to hit the road in the $5-$7K asking prices.
