TPI on top of a GM 350 crate motor

I purchased a car from an estate and was initially told the engine was a 92 L98 from a Camaro. But as it turns out, it is a GM 350 crate motor. According to GM, based on the casting number 10066036, the short block could be 1973 to 1985 or 1986 to 1989. The heads, casting # is 33417369, are from 1990 or later. The TPI is from 1985 to 1988 since it has the cold start solenoid setup (previous owner put in a bypass toggle switch). The interesting issue is that the ECM, which I posted to the ECM forum, is supposedly for 1988 305. So I am wondering if there might be any issues or future issue with this engine, TPI, ECM combination. Also, what would be the difference between the GM head and the L98 head?

Re: TPI on top of a GM 350 crate motor

No issues as long as the ECU is chipped for a 350 or custom tuned, etc.

The TPI system is no different than a carburetor in this respect. If it's setup properly it can run any engine it will bolt up to.
