Fuel injector size help
Hello! I'm not sure if this is the right section, if it's not feel free to move.
I'm trying to select the proper injector size for my 350 build, I have read up and down these forums and can't seem to figure out what is the best option for my application, according to all the calculators on the net I need a 32 Lb injector for my projected 450 hp engine, but have read on the forums some people have higher numbers with smaller injectors.... and vice versa....it is a engine swap from a v6 car so everything for the fuel system is being replaced (except for the hard lines from the tank, unless otherwise needed) and I'm obviously going to get the computer tuned...but in after that, I'm stumped on the finer details like this....so if I can get some help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Fuel injector size help
I think the 30 lb injectors would work well in maybe 99% of cases.
The duty cycle is more an issue of high RPM than it is with a peak horsepower number.
With a typical low reving TPI engine (below 6k), many people get away with 24 lb injectors with no problems.
If you have more cubes, high RPM, or boost, this changes of course.

Re: Fuel injector size help
that's where I was getting confused, that 32lb was with a 80% duty cycle, but if I can get away with 30lb and still optimize my engine, ill do that.
