Re: Original injectors ?

I'm still running original injectors in my '86. They've been removed and cleaned a few times, but they function properly. Those appear to the same vintage.

Re: Original injectors ?

I might try and have them cleaned then if I don't just go ahead and buy new ones. I think they might leak a bit because I can smell gas sometimes around the car when I shut it off plus it runs a little rough sometimes

Re: Original injectors ?

Leaking would more likely be due to 30+ year old O-rings, and not the injectors themselves.

Re: Original injectors ?

True there's no leaks from outside tho. So must be the lower ones if it is

Yah I can hear it back firing while idling sometimes. The evap canister is still hooked up. It works to my knowledge, the purge cylinder seems to get a bit hot tho

Re: Original injectors ?

Whenever you're ready to clean them...send them on in to us. If you have injectors that do not function properly we will not charge you for them. If you decide to replace the entire set, we will not charge you for the service just the injectors if you decide to purchase from us.
