Oil pressure switch
I have an 88 iroc 305 are the oil pressure sender and the oil pressure switch connected I'm asking cause I dont have a oil pressure sender on the car rite now would this cause the oil pressure switch not to work rite and make the engine shut off or is the sender just for the gauges thanks

How many wires on the oil pressure sensor?
Oil pressure switch will NOT cause the car to stall. It is a backup power source for the pump in case the relay fails. That's it. Otherwise, your car would NEVER start until you cranked it long enough for oil pressure to come up.

Switch is a backup for the relay as stated above.
Neither will prevent your engine from running.
