Rpm rises with no throttle movement

I just finished installing my new engine into my 92 camaro. It was originally a 305 tpi and now its a zz6 crate engine with a first tpi intake with a prom burned to suit. When i started it to set timeing with the est disconnected i was able to get it ideling smoothly. However when i connected the est back the rpms contunue to climb to a point where i jad to turnoff the ignition or i thought it might blow up lol.... nhone know what would be causing it

Re: Rpm rises with no throttle movement

If you have the new tune on a piggyback adapter. You can try just the 305 memcal and see if it does the same thing. The new tune might have a bug with it.

Re: Rpm rises with no throttle movement

Sorry been offline for a few days. Its not piggybacked i swaped the memcal for one burned closer to new engine. I was playing around with the screw on the throttleboddy and was able to get rid of it strange. Thanks for the suggestion👍
