Firebird L98 Hose routing question
Firebird L98 Hose routing question
Hello
Been a long time reader of this forum but first time posting. Very grateful of all the information i have been able to find in here.
I'm working on a friends '90 firebird that used to be 305 Tbi and has a 350 tPi now. Seems like the battery had to be relocated from passenger to driver side and the Evap Canister had to be moved to the Passenger side but was never connected right.
Trying to figure out the routing of the Return line. Does it go from the canister thru the radiator core support to the metal return line on the frame rail? If anybody has pictures of the routing on a Firebird 350 Tpi of this Evap canister area i would appreciate it. I found some but cant tell exactly how the hose is routed. Trying to make it look as factory as possible.
Thanks

Re: Firebird L98 Hose routing question
The frame rail that goes to gas tank has a short hose that leads right up to the canister. There is another long line, that is routed back thru the heater hoses up to the throttle body. And if you look a this post, the "Air" is vented thru the opening in the wheel well. One part goes up, the other part is mounted near the tire with a rubber coated clamp. I'm seeing some cars that dont do anything here except put what appears to be a filter to keep dirt out. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tpi/...onnection.html

Also, the canister and air cleaner have a piece of raised thin steel, kind of a circular bracket that the canister and air cleaner housing bolt to. the bracket bolts to the tray.
