305 TPI, fallo 33 y 34.
Pude recuperarlo recientemente y lo estoy restaurando,lo he pintado,he puesto nuevas "decals", neumaticos,y algunas gomas y silentblocks.

Re: 305 TPI, fallo 33 y 34.
Hello, I am new to this forum, delighted that you accept me here.
It is possible that before posting I should introduce myself in another thread, but I can't find it, if so, let me know and I will be delighted.
I write from Spain, I have an Iroc Z 305 from 88 for about 20 years, 10 years ago I sold it to a friend who only used it for about 450 km. And then I leave it standing for years.
I was able to recover it recently and I am restoring it, I have painted it, I have put new "decals", tires, and some rubbers and silentblocks.
The car was not going very well when I recovered it and I decided to give it a good tune-up, I have replaced the distributor, ignition cables, spark plugs, injectors, belts and hoses, fuel pump, filters and radiator.
But the car has a fault, it does not start with the flow meter (MAF) plugged in, but with the disconnected one it does and it works well at idle, but when accelerating it stops, and if I connect the MAF already with the engine running it happens exactly same.
I have tried a different MAF and the failure remains the same.
I have checked and I get fault 33 and 34, it is supposed to be a MAP fault, but my Camaro doesn't have a MAP, or at least I can't find it.
I would greatly appreciate your help because here in Spain there are no good workshops that know these cars and the replacement must be requested from pages like Rockauto that here takes a long time to arrive and usually the shipping costs are more expensive than the parts themselves.
I thank you for your help, greetings!

33 in your year is maf high , 34 maf low. Having a scanner or datalog cable and using tunerpro rt would be helpful.
search my recent posts for code 33 troubleshooting tree.
could be even a bad ecm or the new maf even though it’s new could be bad.

Hola Hombre,
Short of acquiring and configuring a data log apparatus, begin with the basic conventions. Check air ducts for cracks, holes, and good connections.
Verify the +12VDC supply at the MAF "E" terminal. Also verify a proper ground at the MAF "A" terminal. If the voltage and ground are not present, the MAF power and burnoff relays and their wiring need to be checked.
With the MAF installed and engine running at low RPM, measure the DC voltage at the MAF "C" terminal. Expect to measure around 0.75V at low RPM:

It may be possible that the MAF is under-reporting, and that will be indicated as a lower output voltage. If so, the MAF sensor can be cleaned, but manual cleaning must be done carefully.
After cleaning, the MAF output can be measured again for changes.

Hey guys!
I tested the "E" terminal of MAF and have not voltage, (key in on position).
but yes negative in "A" terminal of MAF.
Wat is the next step? Tested on-off MAF relay?
Where is the on-off MAF relay?
what can I tested it??
I check fuses under dash and it`s ok.

The relays are along the firewall, just below the windshield.

Your '88 will probably have a different type relay (rounded) and they may be arranged in a different sequence, so verify the correct relay by checking the wire colors.

Thanks Vader, tomorrow check all relays,
then need 12v output from maf power relay in E rerminal, but, what's is the checking for the another maf relay?
while I mount doors upholstery and dashboard, I need drive it!!!

Re: 305 TPI, fallo 33 y 34.

For those following along:
Hello, after several months, I have dedicated this weekend again to the Camaro. With the help of a friend we have checked the MAF relays, the throttle position sensor, the ignition, we have disassembled and checked the throttle body... We've checked that it had fuel pressure and in doing so we've realized that the gasoline, despite being in the tank only since March, was in bad condition (stale, rotten), so we added fresh gasoline to make up for the old gasoline, we've covered a couple of vacuum lines that were wrong and we've ripped out, The improvement has been gradual from startup to normal engine temperature, and we were able to go for a small trip, as we got better... so it's hard to blame for the malfunction, it was bad fuel, and I guess as it's spent and refilled new fuel, it's completely improving. Error codes 33 and 34 have also disappeared.I will tell you more as it advances!!

First driving, today small route in Guadalajara, (Castilla La Mancha, Spain).
the 33 and 34 fault dissapear, it run whell with new fuel, sometime a little fault, from 1500 to 2000 rpm, but this fault is smaller and dissapear when engine take function temperature, really it run very well now!!!!
