MAF readings

Ok my new OBD bosch 1300 scanner came in today. I was doing sone live data and found the MAF readings to be like 2,000. I unplugged the NAF and the readings were at 3,000?

i thought it should be around 7-12 at the most at idle?

do you think the MAF is bad? Im not sure what the relays do but i assume they work since the readings are changing? See below pic for maf reading right under loop statis

thanks guys!

Re: MAF readings

Something is wrong with the scan tool translation of the data. MAF can't exceed 255 grams per second. It's an 8 bit value.

Re: MAF readings

I think they likely have never tested it with some old 80's ALDL protocol and have copy and pasted themselves into a bug in the scan tool firmware. Check with Bosch for firmware updates.
