Installed some 1.6 rockers

Went with some PRW full roller, stainless steel, 1.6 rockers. Very nice improvement. Butt dyno feels like about a 10-15 hp increase (only because I don't think I'd notice anything less than 10). Particularly above 4000 rpm... helps get the most of the 212@.050 cam I'm running with the AFR 180 heads.

But one of the most noticeable things is how much smoother the engine sounds and feels though. I lost about 1/2" Hg of vacuum at idle, but idle quality is still stock-like. Now getting about 13" Hg in gear at 650-700 rpm.

Good thing too is not a hint of clackity-clack sound (unlike the aluminum Crane rollers I bought years ago and removed due to how freaking noisy they were, no matter how much I adjusted them).

Had to readjust the part throttle fuel trims a little and add about 5% more fuel at WOT above ~3500 rpm to maintain the 12.5:1 AFR.

Overall definitely worth the money and effort.

Re: Installed some 1.6 rockers

I've looked into them and saw some pictures of terrible quality from a hand full of years ago. That was enough for me to look elsewhere.
I'm guessing you inspected them well. How do they look now? I'm wondering if quality improved.

They looked really good actually. Over on NastyZ28.com (2nd gen site) had a couple of people recommend them.
