roller rockers or not?
with the mods in my sig and a built tranny coming soon, and 42k original miles, should i consider 1.6 rr's, are they worth it in. im also going to be procharging soon i hope. so my question is- is there a noticible hp difference? which are better for my app 1.6 or 1.5 ? if anyone else has added them to a stock lb9 please chim in.

Re: roller rockers or not?
on desktop dyno, adding a set of 1.6 rockers only netted about 3-5hp at peak RPM from the lift alone. Now who knows how much reduced friction would add? They do help the engine rev a bit faster.

well , it's a better thing then stock ... But myself i would just get the 1.5's ...then add a cam with the lift you want .... it's easier on the valvetrain.

Re: roller rockers or not?
I could , but I am not really qualified to do that for you ...I'd be just regurgitating stuff I read here . but call up a cam company ...they can help ya for sure.
One thing you will find out is .... a cam for N/A and one for boost has very different properties . Like a N/A cam , you may want a tighter LSA ...and lots of overlap ( depending on EFI or carb or other stuff beyond me ) ...while witha boosted cam you want low overlap ... fatter LSA . Get what I mean ?
So , i would just leave the cam UNTILL you decide to boost it THEN get a cam for it .'
hope that helped
