Wet Spark Plug

I hope someone can help me with the issue I am having with my chevy TPI motor. Recently I noticed the smell of gas in my oil. I pulled my plugs and noticed that #1 plug was wet with gas and the other 7 plugs were OK. I was told that #1 injector was leaking and to replace it and the problem should be solved. I replaced the injector with a new injector matching the other seven . Changed my oil, started the car and I still have the same problem #1 wet other seven dry and gas in my oil. I replaced my O2 sensor, tested my map sensor and the only thing I can think of is a problem with the car computer. Can someone give me any other steps to take.

Re: Wet Spark Plug

How old are the plug wires? Did you replace the spark plug after the inj change?

Re: Wet Spark Plug

Plugs are new NGK TR55, the spark plug wires about 3 months old but I did check the spark plug wire going to #1 plug and tester indicated plenty of spark going to the plug. I tested #1 plug with the other 7 and they tested the same.

Re: Wet Spark Plug

May need to see what the electrical is doing at the inj with a noid light and a volt meter. Since it's only 1 inj it still has to be in the inj.

Have you checked the vac line from the fuel psi regulator for raw fuel?

Re: Wet Spark Plug

No raw fuel from the regulator. I used a stethoscope and could hear the injector firing. The old injector and the new injector were firing when using the stethoscope. If the cylinder is getting fuel and power is going to the injector would the problem point to the computer?

Re: Wet Spark Plug

Only 1 inj driver in the computer so they should all be goofy.

Re: Wet Spark Plug

My two questions here would be;

#1, what kind of car is this chevy TPI motor in ?

#2, have you checked whether or not that cylinder is actually firing ? A dead cylinder with no compression that's not firing will allow it's fuel to wet the plug and foul the oil....
