vacuum leak, help please!
I put my engine back together after replacing the trans, and head gasket. Now I got the timing on pretty much. There is a BIG air leak coming from the driver side plenum. I think it's coming from underneath, but it doesnt' sound as bad from the passenger side. it seems to make the idle erratic and if you listen to it when the idle goes up it seems to get louder. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I have the idle adjustment screw all the way out and it is still a little high. It runs but when you drive it and give it any gas it feels like it loads up or something, it just has no power at all. You can't step on the gas. Can anybody please help. What happens if an EGR goes bad?
I replaced my intake man. and I had/have the same prob but I justed played around with all the vaccum lines there by fpr and got them so I have a smoother idle. Hopefully someone replies on how to fix it cause I need to know the actual way too
There's two harder to find vacuum lines.
One is the brake booster at the back driverside of the plenum pointing downward. The other is the PCV line wich is right in the middle of the intake on the drivers side.
check for those two. The other two are obvious on the passenger side plenum
