1.6 or 1.7RR?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm going to scratch the idea of a bigger cam for right now. I wanted to go w/ some 1.6 RR but now I'm thinking of 1.7's. What do ya'll think? Could you recommend a brand and an aproximate price? Thanks.

Not exactly sure where to get 1.7rrs, but definitely remember the extra $100+ for new longer hardened pushrods.

If I'm not mistaken the ls1 is the only small block other than the rocket and big block motors that used 1.7 rr's.I would think 1.7's on a standard 23* head would screw up the geometry of the valve train.do the cam you'll be happier.......

cam

Sorry about that link, I wasn't paying attention.

I've decided to wait on the cam untill I get my Miniram. Right now I think that if I got a cam to match the intake I'm getting, it will move the power band higher than it is now. Thats what I don't need.
I have the stock TPI w/ a 58mm TB and ported plenum. People say thats why my dyno #'s are messed up. 257hp and 356tq at the wheels.

So I have to use 1.6 right? If ya'll still think I should get a bigger cam now instead of the RR please let me know. Thanks for all your help.

260hp at the rear wheels seems about right for a ZZ4. id just save your money and get a cam and the miniram at the same time. possibly changing to 4.10s too.
