carb fuel pump for tpi?

carb fuel pump for tpi?
so im tpi swapping my originally carburated car was (85 305 carb) now (89 350 tpi) and i was wondering if i could use the stock carb fuel pump and if not what fuel pump should i go for? thanks

if it has an in-tank helper pump for a carb motor then a replacement pump should install on the existing sender unit. you may have to slightly modify the mounting because the carb fuel pump may be smaller.
the carb fuel pump only puts out a few psi. it was designed to assist the block mounted fuel pump.
an 85 wouldn't normally come with an in-tank pump though, unless it was an L69 or added later. I'd verify what you have to ensure the fuel pump wiring and relay are there.
