Fuel pump won’t run until oil pressure gauge reads pressure
Hi guys, been having a slight problem with my 86 TPI camaro for quite a while. After letting the car sit for over an hour, the fuel pump fails to run and build pressure. However, after the engine has been turned over multiple times and the oil pressure gauge is reading pressure, the fuel pump can be heard running and the car starts almost instantly. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be and how to fix it? Thanks in advance guys

No 2 second fuel pump prime from the ecm ?
have you checked for power at the pump relay or tried a different relay?

Fuel pump relay, These cars have a redundant electrical path to the fuel pump that runs through the oil Pressure switch so that in the event your fuel pump relay fails you will not be stranded. The symptom is long crank time.
