I have finished my shortblock on my internally balanced 385, I have a TPI setup that I want to put on. This motor is going to be installed in my 90 Suburban 4X4, I doubt that I'll see or need to see anything over 5500rpm. I would like to purchace a used set of aluminum L98's. I have started porting my plenum and intake, I will probably run aftermarket runners. I have spent a week reading various posts and would like some suggestions for a good tow rig motor top end (LT1 cam, L98 heads)

 

Anyone? Your thoughts on the L98's?
