Power loss, ticking and popping

Hey folks,

My 86 TPI has been running pretty much fine since my last big ordeal a couple of years ago where I litterally replaced everything (iac, tps, plugs, wires, distributor, egr valve, vacuum tubes, ecm, injectors etc etc) before finally landing it being a bad maf..!

If I have driven it 2-300 miles since then, thats max.

Anyways, coming home after the 4th(!) cruise this season, it all of a sudden lost some power, you hear it is struggling and a noticable ticking noise. No SES codes.

Just pulled all the plugs for a clean, as they have a tendency to clog. They were fine. Tried pulling the plug wires one by one to try to isolate the problem, as it seams to not run on all cylinder. On every single one it slow down a little, so it aparently runs on all.

Any idea what I am looking at here? Bad valve or something ?
Any thoughts for continued troubleshooting ?

Thanks!!

Ken

Re: Power loss, ticking and popping

I have a similar issue where mine will backfire while barely on the throttle at around what i assume is 3-4k rpm since my tach is off and also notice a powerloss and boging, but when i floor it then no bogging until im close to 5k rpm then throttle cuts in and out.
