Cable length for TPI?

Car: 87 IrocZ.
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Cable length for TPI?
Anyone know the exact cable length for TPI / 700R4 setups? What exactly is the procedure to setup one of these “universal fit” tv cables since I can’t apparently get the right oem cable anymore? I’m wondering if cable length is so important between TPI,tbi, and carb…then how can we use a universal cable? Trying to make sure mine is setup correctly. I followed the adjust procedure yet shifts seem stacks like she’s shortshifting..any help would be appreciated

I will be of no help on that topic,... I have simply NEVER used a "universal" TV Cable !
