Tequilaboy has been helping me dial in my TPI. We are running a blowerworks MAF, repined ECM. Oh the car is a forged 355 with Procharger too, better mention that bit.
I agree that it is a bit lean up top. Here's another pull from the same log 4th gear 60-100 mph (under 5 seconds). You can see that it is a bit lean with respect to the target AFR once the AE fuel settles down and everything is stabilized. Note: It might go even faster if you fully open the throttle.
Might be touch richer than needed if intercooled. High 11’s on 10 psi or so is plenty on pump gas imo but kinda need to play with it and see how it responds.
But moving pretty good. Nice to see the maf system handle that, always wanted to try that or boosted 8d
It is set up for load-based PE with 150% load range (rather than rpm-based PE). With the current settings the richest target AFR (in closed loop) will be 11.31:1 for load greater than or equal to 360 (scaled) or 240 (unscaled). The WBO2 is running about 11.8:1 with the target AFR running about 11.4:1 as can be seen in the data.
We don't know the charge air temperature despite having the technology (Felix!) and it is knocking a bit on only 22 degrees of advance, so the rich target AFR (at this point) is intentional.
I found afr heads to be somewhat timing sensitive. They certainly like less than other heads especially in boost. 22 sounds good tho, usually 1 deg per psi is pretty safe. I cant remember what i ran on my old 401 sbc with about that much boost, id have to open a file.
The throttle position is now reaching 4.43 volts (which is good), but looks like more fuel will be required. Did the air quality improve or was there any significant change in temperature? I know that you're close to sea level. Perhaps the fuel pressure is dropping. Be careful.
Really odd the lean conditions. It was at the end of a 80 or so min run and I'm still pulling in some oil through the PCV - wonder if that could be it? Or the external Holley pump.
