I have just wrapped up my remote fuel pressure regulator install. My install is in a square body truck, but it would look even cleaner in a 3rdgen. Easy access to adjust it and visible fuel pressure gauge. And it cleans up the engine bay nicely. I will eventually move the feed line to the back of the engine.

I can appreciate what a PIA it is to adjust the FP in the stock location, does your setup require you to adjust it more than once to get it dialed in? I added a 90* fitting and the gauge right at the schrader valve and that was it for me.
I have not had to adjust it more than once. I already had an adjustable on it in the original spot and a gauge that connected to that port on the rail. But I didnt like how the piping ran through all of the pulley setup. Also the Truck fuel feed is on the passenger side frame rail so this made that connection a little easier. Eventually I plan on moving the regulator to the fender or maybe somewhere on the firewall.
