I had a 305 tpi in my trans am. well i bought a 355 with 8.5:1 compression and a roots style blower on top. Well i am having second thoughts about going carb. what would i need to mod to make the 305 system work well with the 355 in its n/a state. i am going to sell/trade the blower and buy a vortech one eventually. But i want to know what i need to mod to make this motor perform to its potential on the stock system. Will the restrictions of the tpi go to the wayside when i hook up a vortech to it. and should i convert to a sd system??

But in any performance application tpi just isn't the best bet

 

if your going with a blown tpi, that will make plenty of power. you could run alot of boost with just 8.5:1 compression
