LT1 24 lbs.??

Will 24 lb. injectors work out alright w/ a lightly modded TPI w/ just heads, cam & some mild porting?? Will it be 2 rich at idle??

Thanks,

they will work just like any other injector but your car wont run at its "potential" without a PROM calibrated for these injectors. I just pulled out my 24# SVO injectors today because it was running too rich.

It depends on what you mean by lightly modded engine with heads and cam. Mine was on the edge with 22lbs. I added some 24lbs and retuned the chip, and I'm good to go. When changing injector size, you almost always have to have a custom chip for them. Thats the only problem.

I am planning on a custom chip too.... I really wanna learn how to burn my own chips.... It sounds like you can get good enough to do a better job yourself that telling someplace to burn one for you... O yea the heads I'm talking about are TF Twisted Wedge G2s, crane 104224 cam (.452/.465 214/220)

Thanks again,

Be careful with those twisted wedge heads, you might need the special pistons to go with them.

I know I need special lenght pushrods but you're the first to mention the pistons.... I was also thinking about this would ported Cast Iron Vortecs perform the same as the Trick Flows?? I know heat dissipation & weight would win out w/ alu. heads but what about flow?

Since the valves are twisted in the combustion chamber (hence the name) they wont line up with the valve reliefs in normal pistons. A friend got some and the valves hit the pistons. He sent the heads back and got the regular 23º heads, after he found out the pistons cost $500 from Jegs/Summit.
