vette heads.
vette heads.
i have been reading alot about corvette aluminum heads but nobady has ever said what years will bolt up directly to an 88 camaro 350 tpi. They only mods on my car is K&N, gutted mass air, gutted cat and 3"exhaust. I was wondering on an engine like mine what kinda horse power gains could i expect out of them?like 5-10?20-30?with just bolting on the heads.
Your '88 intake has a different angle on the middle 2 bolts on each side than the Vette heads. Yours are 72deg, the Vettes are 90deg. Some people are able to oval-out the intake holes to allow the bolts to pass thru, I wouldn't do it personally. There are better-flowing aftermarket heads on the market that have 90deg middle holes.

If the vette heads are aluminum heads, they'll be centerbolt heads and should have the same bolt angle.

The vette heads are aluminum, are centerbolt, and are the older 90* bolt pattern, none of them are canted. Trust me, i have a set rotting on my last engine.
If you want to run these just look for an older manifold 85-86, that has the 90* bolt angles. Or, as stated, you can drill out your manifold holes to accept the 90* angle, but then the bolt won't sit flat on the manifold. Better just to find one that was meant for the older pattern.
