GM Fastburn questions...

I'm considering a set of GM Fastburns.

Currently I'm running an original (with the free mods) 1988 GTA with a 350. The car has Edelbrock headers but soon switching to SLP 1-3/4 versions. Hopefully will soon also put together a 406 or bigger.

I'm running 14.00s at 99 to 99.6 mph with 2.0 60' times on street tires. I would really like to get into the high 12s or low 13s and KEEP the stock appearance. Stock appearance is very important to me.

I realize I have to switch intakes and will go with the new Vortec TPI version. And I will have to take care of the computer programming issue.

Question #1---Is there any problem with the angle plugs and SLP header clearance?

Question #2---Other than the weight savings (which I do value in this case) what about the Fastburns is better than the regular Vortec heads (considering I would have the larger springs and machining done to the iron heads)?

Question #3---Cam ideas? I will probably give Comp Cams a call but would like to hear "real world" opinions.

Question #4---Anything else to consider?

Thanks,
jms
