special length pushrods needed w/TF 23degree heads?
Do I need special length pushrods when installing trick flow 23 degree heads on my L98? Is there anything else I need to know about installing these particular heads?

The proper way to decide on the push rod length is to measure your application, but the instructions for these heads do a pretty good job of laying out the most common combos of rocker and camshaft manufacturers. You will definately need to get new push rods though - hardened ones too.... Since you have an L98 with a roller cam, you should have 7.100" push rods from the factory and they will be too short for use with these heads. Even if you used all factory parts with the TFS 23* heads, they recommend using a 7.150" push rod. If you use a Crane or GM (roller) cam, they recommend a 7.200" push rod and if you use a Comp or Crower (roller) cam they recommend a 7.400" push rod.
So anyways, the instructions are pretty good and they were probably put together by measuring up a bunch of different setups and recording the measurements, but the ideal plan for you is still to measure your application and go from there.
Good Luck!

Yea I started it up tongiht. Had a few gremlins and I have a few more but so far its ok. I didnt take it ont he street yet since I have a few other problem. (bad brake line) and some other stuff. But It was running VERY VERY VERY bad at first. Headers got RED hot. After adjusting timing and setting valve lash with the engine running it idled good. My computer data showed everything within spec still with the stock L98 chip. Theres still little more tuning ehre and there but I am pleased. and MAN is this setup LOUD and that was running through my catback.
