TPI Conversion, have questions
ok guys i'm gonna convert to TPI soon from CC Carb, i bought a complete TPI setup i was told it was from an 89 but the plenum has the longer fins and it has a cold start injector, did early 89's use an 88 setup? 2nd the MAF sensor has a window on it with electronic stuff inside, what is this? i have an 88 MAF sensor that doesnt have that, 3rd the Charcoal Canister, mine isnt electronic, do i need to get the electronic one? 4th my fuel system, i need to replace the carb fuel lines from the tank up with TPI lines, but will the stock carb fuel tank and sender work with an in line fuel pump? i have a feed line a return line and the vent line now.

Longer fins...don't know on that one, but '89 TPI's Definitely DID NOT have cold start injectors. I wonder if someone mixed and matched parts...giving you a post '90 plenum and a pre-87 base. The others will know for sure on that one

I know the tank will need special baffling to prevent fuel slosh. I can't help you on the sender. I am having mine done by Rock Valley and saving myself the hassle ($300 though...ouch!!!). I think they replace the sender as well but I am not sure on this one either and can't find my catalog at the moment. Will post an update if no one else does.
