Which puts out more power, which one is simpler, pros and cons of both, etc....I've heard that SD puts out more power and is simpler...that true??? thanks

I like MAF A LOT better!!!
If I had a degree in computer engineering I am pretty sure I would like SD a lot better..... but who knows, I could make proms for MAF to!

Engine: LS1
Transmission: T56
My best 1/4mi numbers with MAF:

13.6sec @ 103mph

Best numbers since converting to SD:

13.5sec @ 105mph

These numbers are after my swap to a T56 trans and I still totally suck at launching, the A4 really had me spoiled.

You need to burn chips to make SD work well on a modified engine. MAF will run reasonably well without tuning, but you're leaving some HP behind if you don't get in there and match the fuel/spark tables to your engine.

I don't have a CS degree either (Biology actually) but I can read, and there's plenty of material here on thirdgen.org and on diy-efi.org.
