Unplugging the FPR will send fuel pressure to max the FPR is set at. Also you will have a vaccumm leak.

Like John said, it will cause a vacuum leak if you don't plug the line you take off and it will be maxing out the fuel pressure in the rails. This will cause the car to run rich and put a serious hurtin on the fuel pump if left that way for long..... Overall it is a bad idea - especially when most stock PROMs are already a bit rich in the first place.
