MAF readings at idle

I've been fighting a problem for a while and everytime I think I got it licked, it changes or comes back. What should the MAF reading be at idle so I know if I have to hunt for a vacuum leak. Right now the idle is so erratic that the car will barely run, making leak hunting nearly impossible. Any help is appreciated. Oh, I'm talking in gm/sec, I think mine was like 4 or 5 according to the scan tool.

It should run about 8 to 9 gm/sec-does sound like you've got a vac. leak.
