PROM and ECM question we all should clear up right now!
Hi all, I have heard so many different opinions on this subject, and I'd like to clear it up once and for all. On a MAF car, how long does it take the computer to relearn a custom chip after you install it? I have a fairly radical setup, and I currently have a Hypertech Thermomaster in my car and it makes the car run worse, but more powerful than my stock chip. I am getting a custom Fastchip and in spring I am going to dyno the car, and I wanna run all three chips head to head, back to back. Is that possible, or does it take alot of driving for the computer to learn the new curves? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

IIRC, the only thing your ECM could possibly learn about WOT would be bad (such as knock sensor retard, etc)
Seriously, all the learning / BLM stuff is confined to closed loop, which a dyno run is well outside of.
