I tried to upgrade and use Accel cap and rotor...I am changing my intake and at the same time I will be going back to an AC Delco type. The accel cap and rotor looks worse after about 10K miles than my totally original did after 160K miles.

Wires should be at least 8mm or higher. I have the Accel 8.8mm wires, and I think they work well...There are some good name brands out there like Jacobs Electronics, Moroso, etc...they all should work well.

For what is worth here goes: when I talked to the guys at TPIS about which cap & rotor THEY like, thinking they'd try to sell me some big-buck stuff, they said on ALL the engines they build, they use ONLY G.M. caps, rotors and coils! I guess these pieces are about as good as you are gonna get. And at the dealer, if you get the discount, they're about the same price as some of the bogus aftermarket stuff. As far as wires, most aftermarket low-resistance wires should all be pretty similar. Stock do have lots of resistance, for radio suppression, etc.
