I know this has been seen many times, but just lookin for input....

I'm gonna be gettin a new motor and build it up a bit, so here's what i'm doin:

ZZ4 shortblock
LT4 hot cam w/ .525/.525 lift
1.5 aluminum roller rockers
Sportsman II's with .600" max lift and 64 cc chambers
accel intake manifold
24# inj.
holley afpr
slp 1 3/4 headers, 3" cat, 3" cat back (borla)
then all the other "left over accessories" coming off the old 305

I allready have the full exhaust(headers and stuff), so what do you think with the setup i'll have? minus all the other things to get this motor together, this is one of the best and cheapest (in my opinion) setups for a new motor, since i will swap it with my 305 and use a lot of its parts.

Setup seems good, you may want to do something about the runners, also a good stall converter-assuming you have the 700R4-to take advantage of the cam.

It sounds good. Just so you know the Hot cam requires 1.6 rockers.

Ah, yes.... i forgot about the trans mods. since my 700r4 is about to fall apart anyway, i'm getting the TCI streetfighter 700r4 with a 2000 stall converter. and, i guess i'll just have to get the 1.6's. darn.

aside from the cam and the auto trans that sounds like the set up I'm doing...

I'm going with the LTR TPI set up high flow base , AS&M runners (non siamesed), ported plenum... (looking for a set of siamesed runners to compare track times), 64cc heads from GMPP(going to do some porting)... I am looking for a peak HP @ 5200-5500 rpm... wanting killer mid range torque... hoping for low 13's N/A...
w/ ZZ4 cam... if that doesn't do it looking for ideas...
