I would say that all of the aftermarket intake bases are about equal and will work well with the SLP runners. I would just pick up the cheapest of the bunch and than port match it to the heads and the runners, clean up any flashing from the casting process, and call it good.... If you really want that TPI to pull on the top end you can look at siamesing it as well. There are used bases popping up here and there on the classified boards of this site and othes like www.camaroz28.com for pretty good prices. Otherwise I think the Edelbrock one is the cheapest of the bunch be a hair and can be gotten from Summit or Jegs. TPIS ( www.tpis.com )and Accel/LPE ( www.lingenfelter.com ) also sell upgraded bases.....

Hope that helps,
Matt

I've been doing some digging, and I've found out that they are NOT all equal. I'm still hoping somebody will mic an Edelbrock intake, but from what I understand, the edelbrock isn't a lot larger than the stock intake. The Accel intake is much, much larger, over 1/4" larger diameter runners than stock. And at $390, it's not much more than the edelbrock.

The TPIS is just a ported edelbrock.

www.cruzinperformance.com. There aren't any prices listed on the website, but if you email them, that's the price you'll get.
